Job summary

Sharecare is seeking a detail-oriented Release of Information Clerk to process medical records requests in a HIPAA-compliant manner. You will retrieve patient charts, ensure proper authorization, and maintain accuracy and confidentiality while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include data entry, quality checks, and coordination with multiple teams to support timely releases. Strong Word/Excel skills and 2+ years in medical records are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical records department or similar setting.
• Strong computer software experience; MS Word and Excel required.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Typing speed of 50 wpm.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Process release of information requests, retrieve and return medical charts, and transmit data per requests and standards.
• Date stamp requests and highlight pertinent data to facilitate processing.
• Validate requests and authorizations for release of medical information.
• Perform quality checks for accuracy, confidentiality, and invoicing.
