Job summary

Sharecare is seeking a Remote ROI Medical Records Specialist to process all release of information requests with accuracy and strong privacy safeguards. You will safeguard patient privacy, ensure authorized access, and comply with HIPAA, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Core duties include retrieving and returning charts, stamping and highlighting data, validating requests, and performing quality checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years experience in medical records preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Type at least 50 wpm.
• Experience with fax, copier, scanner devices.
• Willing to learn new equipment and processes quickly.
• Must be a team player with strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Process release of information requests accurately and timely.
• Date stamp requests and highlight pertinent data.
• Validate requests and authorizations per procedures.
• Perform quality checks for accuracy, confidentiality, and invoicing.
• Maintain equipment and a clean work area.
• Provide excellent customer service and understand client requests.
• Handle incoming requests via mail, phone, and fax as needed.
• Follow HIPAA and state/federal regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of information.
• Release medical records efficiently and accurately.
