Job summary

Sharecare is seeking a Records Release Associate to process all release of information requests in a timely and accurate manner while safeguarding patient privacy and ensuring HIPAA compliance. You will retrieve patient charts, scan records, validate requests, and perform quality checks to deliver high-quality service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; GED accepted.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical records or a similar setting.
• Strong computer skills; proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must be able to type 50 wpm and use fax, copier and scanning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Process all release of information requests accurately and timely, ensuring privacy and HIPAA compliance.
• Retrieve patient charts, return charts, and scan records as required.
• Validate requests and authorizations according to procedures; perform quality checks.
• Maintain equipment in good operating condition and keep a neat work area.
• Provide excellent customer service and respond proactively to client inquiries.
