Job summary

Qualifications

• RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D active/current certifications required or preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CPC/HCS-D certifications with coding experience expectations.

Responsibilities

• Code medical records using ICD-10-CM and CPT conventions.
• Review and ensure accuracy of primary/secondary diagnoses and procedures.
• Coordinate/work with staff and education programs.
• Abstract data from medical records for optimal reimbursement.
• Educate physicians on coding practices and conventions.
