Job summary

Openkrill is seeking a Medical Editor to join our remote team in the United States. You will edit medical and promotional materials, ensure FDA/regulatory compliance, and maintain editorial consistency across digital and print assets.

You will work with project managers, designers, and copy editors to review references, perform literature checks, and support brand approvals. A Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in pharma editing are required, with AMA style knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (communications/English/journalism/life sciences) plus 3+ years editing pharma promotional materials in an agency setting.
• Knowledge of AMA style; experience with medical/regulatory/legal reviews and FDA drug-promotion guidelines preferred.
• Proactive, independent, able to perform literature searches and understand scientific literature.
• Experience anchoring/linking in Veeva is a plus.
• Experience with multiple therapeutic areas and product launches is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Edit copy and ensure regulatory compliance for branded and unbranded materials for HCPs and patients across digital and print channels.
• Fact check and proof existing copy for new channels and audiences.
• Provide medical, regulatory, and legal expertise to ensure consistency and accuracy within FDA guidelines and brand standards.
• Copyedit promotional materials for grammar, punctuation, spelling, style, flow, and consistency.
• Validate references to ensure currency and meet reference criteria.
• Collaborate with project manager, account manager, designer, copywriter, and other editors as needed.
• Manage own brand alignment and assist other editors as needed.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
