Job summary

CenterWell Medical Group seeks a Medical Director to lead APP collaboration, medical governance, and regulatory oversight across its virtual care platform. The role blends clinical oversight with physician leadership to design scalable collaboration and supervision structures for multi-state operations.

You will maintain a limited virtual practice, report to the Regional Medical Director, and work in a fully remote capacity with occasional travel for training or meetings.

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or related primary care specialty.
• 10 unrestricted medical licenses and the ability to obtain more.
• 5 years of clinical practice experience.
• Experience serving as collaborating physician for virtual APPs.
• Knowledge of telehealth, virtual care delivery, and value-based care models.
• Strong understanding of physician collaboration, APP practice regulations, and healthcare compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary physician collaborator and clinical resource for NPs/PAs in CenterWell.
• Provide consultation for complex clinical cases, escalations, and scope-of-practice questions.
• Establish standardized physician collaboration models across multiple states.
• Promote evidence-based medicine and clinical practice consistency in the virtual care org.
• Support APP onboarding, education, and clinician development related to physician collaboration.
