Humana Inc. is seeking a Medical Director for CenterWell Medical Group's virtual care operations.

This fully remote leadership role focuses on APP collaboration, medical governance, and regulatory oversight across multiple states, while maintaining limited clinical practice and reporting to the Regional Medical Director. You will partner with Compliance, Legal, Credentialing, Operations, and Clinical Leadership to ensure readiness, regulatory compliance, and clinical excellence in a scalable

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or related primary care.
• 10 unrestricted medical licenses; ability to obtain more.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience.
• Experience as collaborating physician for virtual APPs.
• Knowledge of telehealth, virtual care, and value-based care models.
• Strong understanding of physician collaboration, APP regulations, and healthcare compliance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary physician collaborator for APPS in CenterWell Medical Group.
• Provide consultation for complex cases and scope-of-practice questions.
• Establish standardized physician collaboration models across multiple states.
• Promote evidence-based medicine and clinical practice consistency in virtual care.
• Support APP onboarding, education, and clinician development.
• Lead the VSP program and ensure adequate collaboration coverage.
• Fulfill medical directorship responsibilities for designated entities.
• Maintain licensure in multiple jurisdictions and oversee regulatory compliance.
• Conduct limited virtual patient care when needed and align with governance.
