Job summary

Humana Inc. seeks a Medical Director for CenterWell Medical Group, fully remote, to lead APP collaboration, medical governance, and regulatory oversight across multi-state virtual care. The role reports to the Regional Medical Director and maintains limited virtual patient care.

You will design scalable collaboration structures, ensure compliance, and partner with Compliance, Legal, Credentialing, and Clinical Leadership to enable growth and patient safety.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, or related primary care.
• 10 unrestricted medical licenses and ability to obtain more.
• 5 years of clinical practice experience.
• Experience serving as collaborating physician for virtual APPs.
• Knowledge of telehealth, virtual care, and value-based care models.
• Strong understanding of physician collaboration, APP practice regulations, and healthcare compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead APP collaboration and clinical support across CenterWell Medical Group.
• Provide consultation for complex cases and establish standardized collaboration models.
• Oversee VSP physician model, coverage, governance, and workforce forecasting.
• Serve as Medical Director for designated legal entities and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain licensure across multiple jurisdictions and advise on regulatory strategy.
• Support clinical governance, policy development, and quality initiatives.
• Conduct virtual patient visits and inform program design with clinical insights.
