American Red Cross is seeking an experienced TCS Medical Officer/Medical Director to lead medical office engagement for Therapeutic Apheresis and Cellular Therapeutics programs. You will provide clinical oversight, collaborate with leadership to develop programs, and ensure regulatory compliance across CAR-T and HPC workflows.

You will support expansion of cellular services, act as medical liaison with biotech partners, and drive strategic growth while aligning with FACT, CLIA, and FDA

Qualifications

• MD/DO with Board Certification in Transfusion Medicine or Hematology/Oncology.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Cell Therapy and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (negotiable).
• Proven experience with FACT accreditation processes and AABB standards for cellular therapy.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations governing human cells, tissues and cellular and tissue-based products (HCT/Ps).
• Demonstrated leadership in program development with regulatory/transplant protocol knowledge.

Responsabilités

• Direct medical strategy and operations for regulated cellular therapies, including policy development for cell collection, storage, and infusion.
• Expand collection footprints and optimize production of CAR-T starting materials.
• Support sales teams with cellular services expansion and program development.
• Serve as medical liaison for biotech partners and donor eligibility guidance.
• Provide medical oversight for transfer of protocols from research to clinical-grade production.
• Oversee donor/recipient safety, transfusion issues, and incident resolution.
