Job summary
The American Red Cross is seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead medical oversight for Therapeutic and Cellular Solutions (TCS) programs. You will guide clinical strategy, partner with leadership, and ensure regulatory excellence across cellular therapies and transfusion medicine.
Ideal candidates hold an MD/DO with board certification in transfusion medicine or hematology/oncology and have leadership experience in program development, FACT/AABB accreditation, and FDA regulatory
Qualifications
- MD/DO with Board Certification in Transfusion Medicine or Hematology/Oncology.
- Prefer minimum 5 years in Cell Therapy/Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation.
- Knowledge of FACT accreditation and AABB standards.
- Familiarity with FDA regulations for human cells, tissues and cellular products.
Responsibilities
- Direct medical strategy and operations for regulated cellular therapies (HPCs, CAR-T, Leukopaks).
- Expand collection footprints and optimize production of cellular products.
- Oversee medical office representation at committees and liaise with biotech partners.
