Job summary

American Red Cross seeks an experienced Medical Director to oversee medical office engagement for Therapeutic Apheresis and Cellular Therapeutics (TCS). You will provide expert clinical leadership, collaborate with TCS leadership, and ensure regulatory compliance across programs.

The role is remote with regular onsite presence and travel. Board certification in Transfusion Medicine or Hematology/Oncology and 5+ years in cell therapy are preferred.

Qualifications

• MD/DO with Board Certification in Transfusion Medicine or Hematology/Oncology.
• Minimum 5 years in Cell Therapy and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation.
• Familiarity with FACT accreditation, AABB standards, and FDA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Direct medical strategy and operations for regulated cellular therapies (HPCs, CAR-T, Leukopaks).
• Partner with executive leadership to expand collection footprints and optimize products.
• Lead medical office representation at committees and with biotech partners.
• Provide medical oversight for transferring protocols from research to production.
