Job summary

The American Red Cross in Virginia Beach is seeking an experienced Medical Director to lead medical office engagement for Therapeutic Apheresis and Cellular Therapeutics programs. The position offers a salary range of $195,500–$250,000 based on experience, alongside benefits including medical plans, PTO starting at 15 days, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Cell Therapy and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation.
• Proficient in FDA regulations governing human cells and tissues.
• Experience with FACT accreditation processes and AABB Standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead medical strategy for cellular therapies and engage with healthcare partners.
• Consult on transfusion medicine and oversee blood center operations.
• Deliver continuing education on safe blood practices.
