Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a medically trained professional for a critical role in directing cellular therapies strategy and operations. This remote position requires a leader with a background in transfusion medicine and significant experience in cell and regenerative therapies. Responsibilities include overseeing medical protocols, partnering with leadership for expansion, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Cell Therapy and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation, negotiable.
• Experience with FACT accreditation processes and AABB Standards for cellular therapy.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations governing human cells and tissues.

Responsibilities

• Direct medical strategy and operations for regulated cellular therapies.
• Partner with leadership to expand collection footprints.
• Provide medical oversight for the transfer of protocols from research to clinical production.
