Job summary

The American Red Cross is looking for an experienced Medical Director to lead our Therapeutic Apheresis and Cellular Therapeutics programs. You will oversee medical strategy and collaborate with external partners while providing essential clinical guidance.

This remote position requires some onsite presence, and the salary ranges from $195,500 to $250,000 based on skills and experience. Key qualifications include an MD/DO with relevant board certification and extensive experience in cellular therapies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Cell Therapy and Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation.
• Proven experience with FACT accreditation processes.
• Knowledge of FDA regulations governing human cells and tissues.

Responsibilities

• Lead medical oversight for cellular therapy and transfusion medicine operations.
• Develop policies for cell collection, storage, and infusion.
• Consult on donor eligibility and clinical trial alignment.
