Job summary

OSF HealthCare is seeking a visionary Medical Director of Hematology, Hematologic Malignancies & Cellular Therapy to lead a high-impact program within a mission-driven, nationally recognized health system. This leadership role focuses on advancing cellular therapies, CAR-T, and transplant services, while building a premier regional destination program.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in Hematology/Oncology.
• Fellowship-trained with hematologic malignancies.
• Two years of cellular therapy, transplant, and/or early-phase clinical trials.
• Five years in medical practice with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a multi-year strategic vision for hematology and cellular therapy services.
• Provide medical oversight of CAR-T and stem cell transplant programs.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives, outcomes tracking, and performance excellence.
• Drive regulatory readiness and accreditation (FACT, Joint Commission).
• Expand research programs and clinical trial participation.
• Strengthen regional referral networks and program visibility.
• Lead hematologic malignancy tumor boards and complex case reviews; strengthen care transitions across inpatient and ambulatory settings.
