Job summary

MedHQ, LLC is seeking a qualified medical hospital coding specialist for a remote role. You will code inpatient and outpatient facility services, aligning with NCCI edits and facility charging requirements while working closely with the billing team to ensure accurate payments.

The ideal candidate has inpatient/outpatient facility coding experience, is detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to maintain high quality service for clients and patients nationwide.

Qualifications

• Inpatient and outpatient hospital coding experience is required.
• Experience coding facility services across a range of procedures.
• Candidates should be detail oriented and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Code facility services for a wide range of procedures and studies.
• Follow NCCI edits and facility bundling requirements.
• Understand implant charging and coding in facility settings.
• Research and correct coding issues to ensure proper payment.
• Collaborate with billing to maintain AR processes.
• Write appeals for denials.
• Identify trends and suggest corrective actions.
• Partner with administration to improve processes.
• Represent Trajectory and its clients professionally.
• Maintain excellent customer service for clients and patients.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
