Job summary

Datavant, a data collaboration platform for healthcare, seeks an experienced outpatient coder for a fully remote role. You will review records, assign codes, and ensure accuracy while meeting productivity standards.

Ideal candidates hold RHIA/RHIT/CCS or CPC/CPC-H/COC/CIC/CRC, have 2+ years hospital coding experience, and are proficient with E/M and injections/infusions. Datavant offers comprehensive training and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of coding experience in a hospital and/or coding consulting role.
• AHIMA or AAPC credential requirements as listed.
• Proficiency with Same Day Surgery, Observation, Injections/Infusions.
• Strong written and verbal communication and remote-work adeptness.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate diagnoses and procedure codes.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and discharge disposition.
• Abstract coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
• Communicate improvements and coding issues for follow-up.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and APC assignment accuracy.
• Track continuing education credits and attend training meetings.
