Job summary

Datavant is seeking an experienced outpatient coder for a fully remote role. You will review medical records, assign diagnoses and procedures, and ensure accurate coding and APC assignments while maintaining quality measures.

Ideal candidates have AHIMA or AAPC credentials, 2+ years of hospital coding, and experience with injection/infusion coding and E/M leveling. The position supports flexible hours and ongoing education in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials required.
• 2+ years coding in hospital or coding consulting.
• Proficiency with Same Day Surgery, Observation, Injections/Infusions; E/M leveling

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and assign discharge dispositions.
• Abstract and enter coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
