Job summary

Sprinter Health is seeking a Medical Coding Auditor for a 100% remote, full-time temporary role through January 31, 2027. You will audit ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes, and provide education to coders to improve accuracy and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active CPC or CCS certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of medical coding experience with 1–2 years in audits/compliance.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and focused audits to ensure CMS, payer, and organizational compliance.
• Develop and deliver education to coders/providers to improve documentation and accuracy.
• Assist with internal and external audit preparation and responses, including document requests.
• Maintain audit logs, productivity reports, and accuracy metrics per policy.
• Review records and claims to verify correct ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifier use.
• Identify trends and opportunities for improvement; prepare actionable audit reports.
