Job summary

Sprinter Health is seeking a Medical Coder to review and abstract professional medical records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes with accuracy. You will maintain coding quality, support audits, and stay current with CPT/ICD-10-CM guidelines in a remote role.

The ideal candidate holds active AAPC or AHIMA certification, has at least 3 years of Pro-Fee coding experience, and can work independently while collaborating with a cross-functional team to improve documentation and coding processes.

Qualifications

• Active AAPC (e.g., CPC, COC) or AHIMA (CCS-P, CCS) certification.
• Minimum 3 years of Pro-Fee coding experience.
• Deep knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet productivity goals.

Responsibilities

• Review and abstract professional medical records and provider notes.
• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers per guidelines.
• Validate codes align with documentation; query providers as needed.
• Maintain coding quality metrics (accuracy, productivity, compliance).
• Participate in coding audits and provide process improvement feedback.
