Sprinter Health is seeking a Medical Coder to review and abstract professional medical records, assign CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS accurately, and ensure compliance. You will maintain coding quality metrics, participate in audits, and stay current with coding updates.

This remote role emphasizes independence and collaboration with a mission-driven team. Requirements include active AAPC/AHIMA certification, 3+ years of Pro-Fee coding, and strong terminology knowledge.

Competenze

• Active AAPC or AHIMA certification.
• Minimum 3 years of Pro-Fee coding experience.
• Strong understanding of HCC / risk adjustment coding.
• Excellent command of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology.
• Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
• Proficient in communication and problem-solving.

Mansioni

• Review and abstract professional medical records, provider notes, encounters and supporting documentation.
• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers accurately per guidelines.
• Validate codes are supported by documentation; query providers when needed.
• Maintain coding quality metrics (accuracy, productivity, compliance).
• Participate in internal/external coding audits and provide feedback for improvements.
• Stay current with CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS, and CMS risk adjustment guidelines.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and compliance standards.
