Job summary

CorroHealth Inc. is seeking a Facility Outpatient Coding Quality Specialist (Auditor) to perform retrospective analyses of medical records and identify coding and billing errors in line with CPT, CMS and AHA guidelines. This REMOTE role requires residency in the United States.

The ideal candidate will hold AAPC or AHIMA certification (CPC, COC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA preferred) and bring experience auditing diagnoses, procedures, and billing codes to ensure compliant reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Must be certified through AAPC or AHIMA - CPC, COC / CCS, RHIT, RHIA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex retrospective analysis of medical record documentation to identify coding and billing errors and inconsistencies according to guidelines of the AHA, CMS, AMA, Clinic Coding Clinic and CPT Assistant.
• Analyzes audit findings to identify potential root causes of coding errors and prevent their reoccurrence
• Provides second –level review of diagnosis, procedure and billing codes to ensure compliance with legal and procedural policies that ensure optimal reimbursements while adhering to regulations prohibiting unbundling and other questionable practices.
