Job summary

Optum is seeking a Medical Coder to code CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 for professional charges across diverse settings. This remote role supports physicians and staff to maximize compliant revenue. After training, shifts cover 6am-6pm EST, with telecommuting nationwide from the U.S.

Requirements include a high school diploma, CPC/ CCS-P/ CPC-A certs and 2+ years of physician-based coding. Knowledge of EPIC and Microsoft Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certifications CPC, CCS-P, or CPC-A required.
• 2+ years of physician-based coding experience required.

Responsibilities

• Code medical records using CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 for various professional charges.
• Prepare, review, and transmit claims electronically and on paper.
• Coordinate with providers to resolve coding issues and ensure compliance.
