Qualifications

• 2+ years of physician-based coding experience required
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Certifications CPC/CCS-P/CPC-A required or preferred

Responsibilities

• Codes CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 for various settings including office, outpatient, inpatient, surgical and ambulatory services
• Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software
• Contact providers regarding coding inaccuracies or ambiguities
• Ensure codes are accurate and properly sequenced per regulations
• Maintain productivity, quality standards and deadlines as defined by Revenue Operations metrics
