Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certifications CPC/CCS-P or CPC-A required.
• 2+ years physician-based coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Code medical records using CPT, HCPCS and ICD-10 for various charges.
• Prepare, review, and transmit claims electronically or on paper.
• Contact providers regarding inappropriate, incomplete or unclear coding.
• Maintain productivity, quality standards and timelines per policy.
• Ensure codes are accurate and compliant with regulations.
