Job summary

Ovation Healthcare seeks a Pro-Fee, Coder to code and abstract diagnoses and charges from medical records for optimal reimbursement and quality reporting. This 100% remote role requires RHIT/RHIA/cedc/coc/cpc/ccs-pp credentials and 3+ years of coding experience.

You will collaborate with providers, ensure proper documentation, and maintain confidentiality while meeting quality standards. This role supports the hospital's revenue cycle with accurate data and timely billing.

Qualifications

• RHIT, RHIA, CEDC, COC, CPC, CCS-P or CCS credentials.
• Three or more years of coding experience.
• Proficient in ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems.
• Familiarity with hospital information systems and encoder.
• Ability to pass a coding assessment.
• Experience working in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstract data elements for billing and regulatory reporting.
• Review records for documentation supporting facility and provider charges.
• Communicate with providers for documentation clarification.
• Resolve claim edits related to ED encounters for compliant billing.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.
• Participate in regular training to improve communications and knowledge.
