Job summary

Ovation Healthcare seeks a Pro-Fee Coder for a 100% remote role (EST). You will code and abstract diagnoses and procedures from medical records to optimize reimbursement and quality reporting. Responsibilities include ICD-10-CM and CPT coding, data abstraction, and provider communication to ensure accurate charges.

Remote environment with strict quality standards. Required: 3+ years coding experience, RHIT/RHIA or related credentials, and proficiency with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• RHIT/RHIA/CPC/CCS credentials required.
• Three+ years of coding experience in medical records.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT coding systems.
• Remote work experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Teams).

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstract data elements for billing, regulatory reporting, and databases.
• Review records for documentation to support charges.
• Communicate with providers to clarify documentation for accurate coding.
• Ensure compliant billing and resolve simple coding errors remotely.
