Responsibilities include auditing records, querying providers for clarification, summarizing findings for training, and assigning CPT codes and modifiers for on- and off-campus procedures, to support proper reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Evidence of strong attention to detail in coding and documentation.
• Ability to query providers and staff to resolve ambiguities in documentation.
• Experience with CPT/ICD and ED guidelines and reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

• Review and audit documentation to verify type and level of professional services.
• Query providers when documentation is missing or unclear for coding purposes.
• Summarize audit findings and assist in provider education on coding requirements.
• Review and assign CPT codes for procedures performed on- and off-campus, including CPT modifiers.
• Attend meetings and conferences for professional development and coding credential maintenance.
