To support accurate coding for outpatient hospital encounters, the full-time New Jersey Licensed Outpatient Coder will assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, CPT/HCPCS procedure codes, and modifiers while working remotely and ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and payer policies.

Key responsibilities

• Codes medical record documentation for various outpatient services, including Emergency Room and Same Day Surgical records

Required qualifications
