Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3 - 5 years of technical experience, required.
• One or more of the following certifications: CCS, CPC, CCSP, CIC, COC, RHIA, RHIT.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes and interprets medical records to accurately code diagnoses and procedures.
• Uses official guidelines and references (OCG, AHA Coding Clinic, CMS, CPT Assistant) to determine codes.
• Applies UHDDS definitions to select principal and secondary diagnoses and procedures.
