Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking experienced Medical Coders to contribute their healthcare coding expertise to an AI data annotation project. You will review and annotate medical records, assign ICD-10 and CPT codes, and apply E&M guidelines to support high-quality datasets for AI training.

Remote contractor role requiring attention to detail, coding accuracy, and strong written and verbal communication to collaborate with project teams and ensure compliance with current coding standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical coding with ICD-10 and CPT.
• CPC Certification required or active.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience applying E&M guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Review and annotate medical records to accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT codes based on clinical documentation.
• Apply Evaluation & Management (E&M) guidelines to assess coding levels and validate healthcare datasets.
• Ensure compliance with current medical coding standards and guidelines.
• Analyze clinical documentation and identify coding-related ambiguities or inconsistencies.
• Provide expert feedback on coding guidelines, edge cases, and documentation scenarios.
• Collaborate with project teams through written and verbal communication to improve AI training data quality.
