Job summary

Synthires is seeking experienced Medical Coders to contribute to AI-driven projects focused on outpatient coding excellence. You will review, annotate, and validate clinical documentation to assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes in a remote setting.

Required CPC certification and strong knowledge of coding systems, with the ability to work independently. This remote contractor role offers flexible scheduling and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Active CPC certification required.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS levels.
• Experience applying outpatient E&M coding guidelines.
• Hands-on outpatient coding in physician offices or hospitals.
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Review and annotate outpatient records across offices and clinics.
• Assign and validate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Apply E&M coding guidelines using medical decision-making or total-time methods.
• Ensure outpatient coding compliance and medical necessity.
• Link diagnoses to procedures and services.
• Identify documentation gaps or coding discrepancies.
• Provide detailed feedback on coding decisions.
• Collaborate with teams to clarify coding requirements.
• Contribute to high-quality datasets for AI training.
