Job summary

This role entails accurate coding of CPT and ICD-10 DX codes, and familiarity with NCCI edits and RVUs.

The position emphasizes adherence to productivity/quality standards, denial reviews, and timely communications with providers to support precise documentation and coding practices.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years experience in provider professional fee coding.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• CPC, CCA, CCS, COC, RHIT, RHIA or other AHIMA/AAPC credential required.

Responsibilities

• Review CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and modifiers for compliance with federal/state regulations and carrier guidelines.
• Code CPT and ICD-10 diagnoses accurately.
• Understand National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) edits and relative value units for the role.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards as established.
