Albany Med Health System is seeking a Professional Coder for remote work in Health Information Management. The coder will review, analyze, and validate CPT and ICD-10 codes and charges to ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and payer guidelines.

Responsibilities include accurate coding, understanding NCCI edits and RVUs, auditing denials, and supporting documentation improvements. Strong communication and experience with provider professional fee coding are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. required.
• 1–3 years experience in provider professional fee coding preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Review CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes and related charges for compliance with regulations and payer guidelines.
• Code CPT and ICD-10 diagnoses accurately and in accordance with guidelines.
• Understand NCCI edits and RVUs as relevant to the role.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Review denials and respond appropriately.
