Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Use a computerized encoding system to sequence diagnoses and procedures per ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines.
• Query providers for clarification when documentation is incomplete or ambiguous.
• Ensure services are coded to support compliant reimbursement and reporting.
• Attend coding meetings and daily huddles; participate in LEAN activities.
• Organize the shared drive for the medical coding department and perform other duties as assigned.
