Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in hospital medical coding preferred.
• Experience with 3M 360 and EPIC preferred.
• Must pass assessment with score 80% or higher.
• Excellent computer skills and multi-system navigation.
• Must be able to work independently in a fully remote role.
• AHIMA or AAPC coding certification in good standing required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Aufgaben

• Use a computerized encoding system to sequence diagnoses and procedures per ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT guidelines.
• Support external reporting data elements for reimbursement and quality measures.
• Query providers for clarification when documentation is conflicting or incomplete.
• Maintain ethical coding practices and compliance with internal policies.
• Attend coding meetings and LEAN problem-solving sessions.
• Assist with organizing the department's shared drive and resources.
