Job summary

Albany Medical Center seeks a Senior Professional Coder to lead our service line coding team and support professional fee coding workflows. You will audit CPT/ICD-10 codes, educate staff, and ensure regulatory compliance, with remote work but onsite education as needed.

Qualifications include 2+ years in professional fee coding, certifications (CPC/CCA/CCS/COC/RHIT/RHIA), and strong Word/Excel skills. You will collaborate across departments to improve denials management and coding accuracy.

Qualifications

• Two years or more prior experience in professional fee coding.
• Knowledge of multiple coding specialties.
• Working knowledge and experience with provider professional fee coding and charge processing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and validate CPT and ICD-10 codes and charges to ensure compliance and quality.
• Assist Supervisor in daily coding team operations and ensure productivity standards are met.
• Perform accurate and compliant coding of CPT and ICD-10 codes.
• Define and submit coding rules to streamline accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in testing and maintenance of third-party vendor applications.
