Job summary

Cameron Hospital in Angola, IN is seeking an OP Coder to code medical documentation remotely. The role requires certification (CPC/CCS) with about two years of acute care coding experience and familiarity with CPT, ICD-10-PCS, and ICD-10-CM guidelines.

Responsibilities include reviewing records, identifying query opportunities for better documentation, and maintaining high coding accuracy while meeting productivity standards. Remote position with bi-weekly schedule.

Qualifications

• Two years of acute care/outpatient hospital coding or Physician Professional Coding experience
• CPC or CCS certification or equivalent
• Surgical & OR Wound Care coding experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Reviews and analyzes medical records and operative reports to accurately assign CPT or ICD-10-PCS procedure codes and ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes according to coding guidelines.
• Reviews documentation for query opportunities to improve provider documentation.
• Maintains coding accuracy of 95% and meets productivity standards.
• Works with HIM Supervisor on follow-up and resolution of coding denials.
