Job summary

Healthcare Outcomes Performance Co. (HOPCo) is seeking a skilled medical coder to abstract data and assign ICD-10 and CPT codes in compliance with policies. The role involves using hospital systems and PMS to ensure accurate coding for surgical cases and billing.

Candidates should have at least three years of provider coding experience, knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPC, and a credential such as CCS-P or CPC. Remote coding experience is preferred and attention to detail is essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in provider coding and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPC coding.
• Preferred experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or Pain Management.
• Credential CCS-P or CPC required.

Responsibilities

• Abstract data and assign accurate ICD-10 diagnosis and CPT procedure codes.
• Utilize PMS to account demographics and services for surgical cases.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to obtain clinical documents and demographics.
• Educate and support clinical areas on documentation and coding to achieve accurate billing.
