Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Medical Coder Coordinator for a fully remote, six-month contract. You will perform retrospective payment reimbursement reviews and interpret EOBs, CPT, ICD-10-CM interactions, and modifiers for accurate billing.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of medical coding/billing experience, CPT/HCPCS knowledge, and familiarity with No Surprises Act requirements. Certification such as CPC or CCS is preferred; strong writing and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of recent experience as a medical coder/biller with retrospectives coding review.
• Certified Medical Coder from AAPC or AHIMA (CPC/CCS) preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers impact on reimbursement.
• Strong writing skills for final payment determination letters.

Responsibilities

• Perform retrospective payment reimbursement reviews.
• Interpret EOBs, recoupments, corrections, and claim adjustments.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance in billing and coding practices.
