Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an experienced Medical Coder to join our healthcare coverage team. The role focuses on abstracting data for billing using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines, and ensuring accurate documentation across hospital records.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of provider coding experience, AHIMA CCS-P or AAPC CPC credentials, and strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology.

Qualifications

• At least three years of provider coding experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding guidelines.
• A credential CCS-P or CPC is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Abstract data in compliance with policies and assign ICD-10/CPT codes.
• Utilize PMS to document demographics and services for hospital procedures.
• Coordinate with physicians and staff to obtain clinical documents for coding.
• Provide education to clinical areas on documentation and coding to ensure accurate billing.
• Maintain effective communication with providers regarding coding issues.
