Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks an Outpatient Coder to work under general supervision, converting medical records after visits into payer-ready CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS codes for outpatient services in a primary care setting.

Eligible candidates have a CPC certification or nursing degree with CPC/CRC within 6 months, 2+ years preferred, and strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, anatomy, and billing. Training is on-site for 3–6 months, with potential transition to remote coding thereafter.

Qualifications

• CPC certification or nursing degree required.
• If nursing graduate without coding cert, CPC/CRC within 6 months.
• Minimum 2 years experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes required.
• Billing experience with denials for multiple payors required.
• Anatomy and medical terminology knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Translate medical records into CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS codes for outpatient services.
• Complete charge sessions in a primary care setting.
• Adhere to medical coding guidelines and policies.
