Job summary

Universal Health Services in King of Prussia, PA, is seeking an experienced Coder to join Independence Physician Management's remote Coding team. The role applies CPT-4 and ICD-10 knowledge across multiple EHR systems to ensure accurate charge capture and timely coding for IPM Markets.

You will collaborate with providers and billing staff, maintain up-to-date coding guidelines, and support performance targets while pursuing CPC certification.

Qualifications

• AAPC CPC certification required.
• 3–5 years of experience in healthcare billing/coding or equivalent.
• Cardiology and orthopedics coding experience.
• Experience with CPT-4 and ICD-10 coding.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provides accurate and timely coding services using CPT-4 and ICD-10 across multiple EHR systems.
• Performs reconciliation to ensure all charges are captured and posted in PMS.
• Communicates with providers and market staff to complete and sign clinical documentation.
• Educates providers on clinical documentation requirements to support coding and ensure all coding possibilities are captured.
• Maintains knowledge of CPT-4 and ICD-10, billing guidelines, and coding policies.
• Escalates coding trends to improve productivity, quality, or revenue and supports team goals.
