Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a remote coder with CPC certification to provide accurate cardiology and orthopedics coding services across IPM markets. You will work with multiple EHR systems, ensuring timely documentation and signoff while supporting the revenue cycle efforts.

The role requires 3–5 years in healthcare billing/coding, strong CPT-4 and ICD-10 knowledge, and the ability to educate providers on documentation standards. AAPC CPC certification is essential.

Qualifications

• Cardiology and orthopedics coding experience required.
• Experience in healthcare billing and coding operations.
• AAPC CPC Certification required.
• Strong attention to detail and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timely coding services for IPM Markets using multiple EHR systems.
• Reconcile charges and ensure accurate PMS posting.
• Communicate with providers to ensure timely documentation and signoff.
• Educate providers on clinical documentation requirements.
• Maintain CPT-4 and ICD-10 knowledge and stay updated on policies.
• Escalate coding trends to mitigate denials and improve revenue.
• Participate in team meetings to improve performance and processes.
