Job summary

Access to Healthcare Network is seeking a Biller in Reno, NV to manage Access Medical member billing for participating facilities and assist members with billing navigation. You will assess socioeconomic status to determine program eligibility and ensure accurate billing and customer service.

The role emphasizes processing 40–60 claims daily, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and AHN policies. Training and a collaborative team environment are provided.

Qualifications

• Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; AA preferred.
• 1 year of medical billing/claims processing preferred.
• 2 years' experience with databases and software applications.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, professional, and member-centered service.
• Respond within 48 hours to member, provider, and internal inquiries.
• Review, research, and correct patient bills and billing discrepancies.
• Process and submit clean claims accurately and timely to providers.
• Price and adjust claims per AHN guidelines and follow up on unpaid claims.
• Verify and maintain member eligibility and enrollment information.
