Job summary

American Health Network (AHN) is seeking a Senior Biller for a National Remote role within UnitedHealth Group. The position supports physician billing, AR collection, and independent research of complex accounts using EHR and payer portals.

Flexible to work 8:00 am - 4:30 pm EST with potential overtime and paid training weeks. The Senior Biller will refile and appeal claims, reconcile balances, and guide team members on payer requirements and denial trends, while maintaining high-quality

Qualifications

• Analytical, mathematical, auditing and reconciliation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with patients, physicians, management and internal partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with speed, accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage a large inventory of insurance receivables including aging accounts.
• Research account history, eligibility, benefits, coding, authorization, and payer requirements.
• Refile corrected claims, submit appeals, provide documentation, and follow up to final resolution.
• Analyze EOBs, remittance activity, payer correspondence and patient balances.
• Initiate contact with payers and patients to resolve issues within policy.
