Access to Healthcare Network (AHN) seeks a Biller for the Access Medical Discount Plan to manage member billing for participating facilities and assist members with billing navigation. You will assess socioeconomic status to determine program eligibility and ensure accurate billing.

Responsibilities include processing 40–60 claims daily, resolving billing discrepancies, and maintaining records with HIPAA compliance. The role reports to the AM Assistant Director and is based in Reno.

Qualificações

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; AA preferred.
• Minimum of one year of medical billing/claims processing preferred.
• Two+ years experience with databases/electronic records systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; detail-oriented and accurate.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Provide compassionate, professional, member-centered customer service.
• Respond to member, provider, and internal communications within 48 hours.
• Review, research, and correct patient bills, statements, and billing discrepancies.
• Process and submit clean claims accurately and timely to participating providers.
• Price and adjust claims per Access Medical Discount Plan guidelines.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and balances with providers and members.
• Investigate and resolve patient billing concerns, complaints, and issues.
• Evaluate members' financial status to determine eligibility for programs and services.
• Verify and maintain member eligibility and enrollment information.
• Report delinquent accounts and assist with collections per policy.
• Input and process 40 to 60 claims daily with accuracy and productivity.
• Confirm claim payments and reconcile member accounts.
• Maintain accurate records in databases and software systems.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and AHN policies.
