Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a detail-oriented Medical Billing Specialist with strong expertise in medical billing, coding, and insurance processes. You will work with Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payers, generating accurate claims and communicating with patients.

Experience with Epic, Meditech, PrognoCis, and HIPAA compliance is expected. The role may offer work-from-home options depending on experience and performance, with potential hybrid arrangements.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
• Experience in medical billing, coding, insurance follow-up, and EHR/EMR systems.
• Familiarity with payer guidelines and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Process and submission of medical claims to insurers and government payers.
• Code procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS.
• Generate cost estimates based on insurance coverage and contracts.
• Verify billing data accuracy in EHR/EMR before submission.
• Resolve billing discrepancies and denials; submit appeals as needed.
• Communicate with patients about billing questions and coverage.
