Job summary

Ascend Medical in Atlanta is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care within our hybrid primary care model. You will handle telehealth scheduling, patient triage, exam prep and coordination of referrals, while maintaining accurate EMR documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma, MA program completion, and CPR certification, with CCMA preferred. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible schedule to help patients access care at home, at work, or in-clinic.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent.
• CCMA certification preferred.
• At least 2 years MA experience in healthcare.
• CPR certification current.

Responsibilities

• Book telehealth appointments, triage patients virtually, and record patient interview, history & chief complaint using EMR.
• Facilitate telehealth consultations with pre-visit review and ensure equipment operable.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist physician with exams; explain instructions.
• Work with Care Coordinator to ensure care plans and follow-up appointments.
• Organize inbound/outbound communications via calls, chats, emails.
• Educate new members on Ascend Medical services and insurance utilization.
