Job summary

Ascend Medical is hiring a Medical Assistant to support care navigation and telehealth services. The role involves triaging patients, recording histories, and preparing patients for examinations within our patient-first primary care model.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare preparation.
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Book telehealth appointments and triage patients virtually.
• Provide clinical and administrative support, including booking and preparing patients for examinations.
• Triaging patients, recording interviews, history and chief complaint in EMR.
• Coordinate with Care Coordinator to align care plans and follow-up visits.
• Handle inbound/outbound communications (calls, chats, emails) as assigned.
